How long does the whole process take?

It takes an average of 12 weeks, from when you first contact the supplier to the boxes arriving at your door.

Is there a minimum recommended order?

We suggest you only have boxes manufactured in China if you require 5000+ boxes. This is to ensure that the shipping costs per box achaive an acceptable level. If you require fewer boxes we recommend you visit our suggested UK box suppliers list.

How do we communicate with the manufacturers?

From our experience the best way to communicate with suppliers in China is via email. China is 8 hours ahead of us which makes telephoning and immediate communication difficult.

I'm not certain on the exact specifications of what I need. What do you suggest?

We suggest you visit our box examples page for ideas and only contact a manufacturer when you have decided exactly what you require.

I have a gift box which I require identical versions of. What should I do?

We suggest you send it to one of the manufactureres from our approved manufacturers list and request an identical sample plus quote.

Will we get samples?

The manufacturers always provide you with samples before you place an order.

When will we get samples?

You should receive them within 3 weeks.

How much should the samples cost?

Between £0 and £30, but you will need to pay for importing them from China. Importing the samples will cost between £35 and £90 using TNT or FEDEX. If you don't already have an account with one of them then we suggest you open one. Just visit www.tnt.co.uk or www.fedex.com for more information.

We only want a few hundred boxes, do you recommend any UK suppliers?

Yes, we suggest you visit the resources page and check out the UK suppliers list.

Can you give a price example to reflect the price difference?

An example - If UK box wholesalers are quoting around 80p for a particular box, follow our advice and you will most likely be able to get exactly the same box to your door for around 20p.

Do we have to pay a deposit?

The standard deposit is 30% transfered on placing the order (after you have approved the sample). Most manufacturers will request the 70% balancing payment on shipment of the boxes. You may be able to get more favourable terms if you push.

How do I send the manufacturers logos and images?

The fastest and cheapest method is to send them by email.

What if you don't want the hassel of doing this ourselves?

We can act as agents on your behalf but we charge a 25% commission to cover our costs.
