Importing the Boxes

After approving the sample and placing the order and signing the contract with the manufacturer you will need to organise shipping.

There are various companies you can use to import the boxes, but we have found that SEKO Worldwide are reliably the cheapest. Ask for the predicted dimensions and weight of total order from the manufacturer and pass these on to your chosen freight company and ask for a quote from the correct port in China to your door. Compare this quote to the figure given when you use our shipping charge tool, just to check that this quote is competitive enough. Email us at contact@giftboxwholesale.co.uk if you have any problems using this tool.

At some point he manufacturer will ask what you want the shipping mark to be. You may find it useful to see an example shipping mark.

The VAT will be paid by your freight company when the boxes enter the country. For that reason you will need to send the freight company a copy of your invoice and Bill of Lading (this will be sent to you when the goods are shipped.

The boxes should arrive in the UK approximately 28 days after they are shipped. The freight company will normally require you to pay the shipping charge, VAT (at 17.5%) before they dispatch the boxes.

It may be wise to take out insurance for the boxes whilst they are in transit. Talk to your freight company to arrange this.
