The Check List
- Decide on the exact dimensions - the length, width and depth.
- Consider whether or not the box should be flat-packed. Note that flat packed boxes are cheaper to import as they take up less space during shipping. Use our shipping charge tool to calculate how much shipping should cost.
- If possible find or obtain a gift box of a similar type to your requirements. The colour and size don't have to be similar, just the thickness and density. Once you have received a competitive quote from a Chinese manufacturer you can send them the sample to help them understand exactly what you require.
- Does your box need to have a separate lid? Should it flip open? Or slide out?
- Draw your box from the side, above and with 3D perspective.
- What colour/s should the box be? And matt or shiny finish?
- Does your box require padding inlay? If so decide what colour. Do you need carboard inserts?
- Does your box require a logo? You will need a digital copy of this (ideally a jpeg or bitmap file).
